Interview with Libertarian Party of King County Chair, Michelle Darnell and Plans for LPKC

Libertarian Party of King County Washington

Interview with Libertarian Party of King County Chair, Michelle Darnell and Plans for LPKC

 Watch the video below:

The Libertarian Party of King County is a newly formed chapter, this year in early 2017.  Michelle Darnell, who has been a semi-regular guest on LCI talks with us once more about LPKC's plans and how Seattle and King County affect the entire state of Washington.

Michelle Darnell has released the following to accompany this interview, as they are building LPKC and need your help:

Dear Friends of Liberty and Justice,
I know you have had enough of taxes, regulation and stifling oppression.  You feel your freedom slipping away every single day.  You are frustrated to see the homeless on the streets and to be sitting in time sucking traffic.  You don’t know what to do about it though. This letter is your first step!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!  The time has come for us to unite and fight back!
King County is heavily under attack. Barely a day goes by that the headlines don’t speak of an attempt to raise our taxes in order to respond to a crisis.  Homelessness, a failing education system, horrible traffic and income inequality are all used as excuses to for increased taxes and regulation.
Meanwhile our liberty candidates struggle to gain a foothold.
That is what the Libertarian Party of King County (LPKC) hopes to do.
We are building a party apparatus to support liberty minded candidates and influence policy and legislation around King County and in Olympia.  We will leverage data, technology, our resources and a team of passionate and talented people to increase our exposure in our county, reach voters with a positive libertarian message and professionalize our party.
We already have taken the first steps toward our vision.  We have an 11 member board, a website multiple social media channels, several candidates running and donations are already coming in!
If you want to see what we have been up to, go here: [https://youtu.be/XdNiDCkP5Io]
We also have thousands of people ready to get to work.  But we need a place to call home, a place to meet, work and store materials.  We also need a full-time director. Most of our team are volunteers, working full-time jobs.  We need one person now dedicated to helping us organize and keep things moving forward.
If I have learned anything in my last 8 years is that politics is a numbers game and:
We have to pay to play.
So help us put our flag in the ground and reclaim King County from the progressive tax and spend agenda that is CREATING poverty and homelessness and disempowering individuals and businesses. Help us build a third party that truly represents YOUR interests and modernizes the way we approach politics in King County. This is how WE win!
As King County goes, so goes the State of Washington.  King County is also the 14th largest county in the country so we are in a strategic position.
We need your help today to build this. Together we are LIBERTY STRONG!
LPKC is growing VERY quickly.  We need to hire paid staff and secure an office.  This will allow us to take our next steps toward activating volunteers in our community to canvass and assist our candidates this year and hereafter.
We also want to collaborate with local individual organizations in serving our community as an example of private organizations responding to public problems. In so doing we DISPLACE government.

In fact 10% of our regular contributions will go to charitable efforts.

Would you consider donating $5/25/100 a month to help us achieve our mission? You can set up a regular or onetime donate online at LPKingcounty.com.  So help us reach our goal of $10,000.
Even if you live our side King County you can help us reclaim our county, take back our state and impact our country.  We are building a bench of future congressmen and women and maybe even a President!
Join us today!  Many hands make light work!
I personally promise you, we won’t let you down!  If you ever have a concern or suggestion you can contact me at michellelpkc@gmail.com.
So what are you waiting for? Lets get this party started!
We thank you in advance for your support!  Your donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to grow our organization, support our candidates and serve our community.
So help us reach our goal of $10,000.  Many hands make light work!
BE the change,
Michelle Darnell, Chair

Mega-Coverage of Saving Seattle on May Day 5.1.2017 - Pro-Liberty Groups Stand up to Antifa (Exclusive Interviews and Video)

"May Day" in Seattle, WA on May 1st, 2017
"May Day" in Seattle, WA on May 1st, 2017
While this article might be coming out two weeks after the events of "May Day" in Seattle on May 1st, 2017, this certainly will have the most coverage from the Westlake Park area where the "Patriot Prayer" group held a meet-up that brought in over 150 Conservatives, President Trump supporters, Independents, Libertarians, Anarchists and other ideologies outside of the "left" spectrum.

Many have claimed that the conservative group that organized the Westlake Park meeting and march in Seattle, may have "saved Seattle."

We asked Patriot Prayer for a comment on the day and they replied that "people should keep an eye on Patriot Prayer if they want to get involved in future events."

Rosario Sicario, an attendee of the event and LCI Independent Contributor had the following to say:
"We won, it was a great victory for the Right. We showed that the disorder and violence is on the Left. I'm proud to be a part of this movement and LCI."
Other LCI Independent Contributors Cody Rose, Alex Love, and Avery Hufford were at the event providing security and event coverage.  Their service was appreciated on that day.

The following is footage of Antifa refusing to do an open interview after one of their members ordered the group to leave the area.  There was at least 3 members that were willing to talk.  A missed opportunity by the group to receive media exposure from an outlet that would have given them free reign to speak.

Went into the Lion's Den at University of Washington to interview the humble Alumni, Jessie Gamble about her time as a student and the horrific personal attacks by Antifa and others on campus, that she suffered after supporting Free Speech and open discussion.

Breitbart had covered the attacks previously in the following article:
http://www.breitbart.com/milo/2017/01/05/university-washington-leftists-post-racist-class-flyers-republican-presidents-face/

I want to commend Jessie's courage to be able to open up on such traumatic issues and pave the way for future students who will be attending University of Washington.  No one should be in fear of their life or be threatened with rape over supporting open discussions and free speech.

Liberty Rocks Seattle 4.13.2017 - Libertarian Party of King County Event, LCI Exclusive - Part 2

The following is a transcript as read by Political Director David Johnson:

"Hello Seattle! Hello King County! Thank you for joining us tonight.

We've got a lot of great candidates here. I wanted to talk a little bit about our strategy as an organization as well, and where we're going - not only this year, but beyond this year, because I think our candidates need to understand that this year is an awesome year, we've got awesome opportunities, AND they're a part of something bigger here. And I want you guys to understand that we're not in this just for this year; we're in this to win this, long term, and we want your support long term.

You're all here because you're pioneers and we're striking out on a new journey here. Like all pioneers we are operating lean here. This is our first event; if you look at most Democrat events they have a lot more people. We are the pioneers, the disruptors, the entrepreneurs right now, fighting the big man.

So the exciting part is that the journey has now just begun. You're here in this room; this is the beginning of our journey. This is not the end, and we are going to get a lot bigger, and a lot louder.
Today could not be a better reminder of why we are doing what we are doing. I lost track in the last 24 hours of how many countries we're bombing, or at war with, or are nearly at war with. Does anybody have a number out there? I know it was seven before Trump got into office; I'm losing track now. I would count our own country at this point. I sure as heck can't count and I can't explain how any of those wars are helping Americans at this point.

This is why we're doing what we're doing. After an election where the Democrats put forward a candidate that wanted to shoot down Russian planes, I can't blame people who tried to vote for the lesser evil. But the reality is, there's no lesser evil. There's one evil. There is one party that is a duopoly that is controlling our country right now. That duopoly stands for three things that we stand against: Endless war, militarized police, and crushing debt.

As we stand here today facing not a two party system but a one party scam, we are here for one goal; to form a SECOND party that stands for love, liberty, and logic. I want to talk about what those three points are and what they mean for us here when we're trying to spread our Libertarian message to our neighbors.

Love means that you don't go around the world like a monster bombing everybody. Some people say you're crazy if you question the American war machine right now. I say you're crazy if you DON'T think we should question why we should go kill somebody.

Logic says that you don't make excuses for unsustainable debt as a path to economic ruin. You don't have to believe in the principle that taxation is theft to realize in practice that warmongering and irresponsible social engineering are stealing the future away from our children.

And liberty says that you cannot protect life, liberty, and property through a bigger, more powerful, more invasive state with the vain hope that they will do good with that power. But rather, life, liberty, and property are best protected by focused, limited government that leads in respecting others by example, instead of leading through violence, persecution, and bullying our fellow Americans. Whether it is a Republican or a Democrat bullying a Republican, a Democrat, a Libertarian, a Green Party [member]; it doesn't matter who you are, the government shouldn't be bullying you, it shouldn't be telling you what to do with your life, and it shouldn't be limiting your opportunities.

So these three pillars are the foundation on which the second major party coalition will be built in opposition to the current major party that is pro-war, pro-debt, and anti-individual; we are anti-war, anti-debt, and pro-individual.

Here in King County it's critical that we spread the message [that] not only do we believe people have inherent right to life, liberty, and property because of abstract principle, but also because those rights are the only means by which we can allow the best in us to flourish. As the major party today leads by example in attacking others and plays Americans against one another, we must show the power to do good and live at peace with one another that comes with liberty.

We will show King County that free people can choose to feed the homeless. We will show King County that free people see problems with addiction and want to empower them rather than imprison them. We will show King County that free people can race to the top building more homes for more people instead of trying to control more and keep homes from being built. And we will show King County that free people can talk about hard issues while treating each other with dignity and finding reasonable common ground with each other.

Our candidates today are the front-line soldiers in this fight, running out by their own choice into a battle where the army behind them is still being recruited, putting everything on the line. I've sat down with all of our candidates as political director; I see every day the stress they go through, the hard work they put through, and the barriers that are put in the way that they fight. Unlike real war, where the people on the frontlines go and they get shot, and they die, and you have a nice ceremony for them, our candidates get back up after every attempt, and we get stronger. This is a fight to do our best this year, AND this is a journey where we will change an entire generation. We will not win AGAINST any individual, whether they're a Republican, a Democrat, voted for Green Party, or didn't vote at all - they're the people we're working with to build a better world.

I've been to Democrat and Republican events over the past several months, and let me tell you the worst-kept secret in politics here: the major parties are literally dying. There are no young people at any of their events. They're a sea of gray hair, whether you're in Seattle or Kirkland or anywhere.
We're the future. This is not a gray audience. I don't see almost any gray hair out here. It's a completely stark contrast. There's a little bit, and we appreciate it. But if you go to a Democrat or Republican event, no comparison. We are the new generation. We are going to outlive the people who we are fighting against right now.

The Libertarian Party tells the story of the next generation, and I am honored to help write your story, and I look forward to the incredible journey ahead."

LCI's Anniversary, Year One - It's Only Just Begun

Liberty Chronicle Independent celebrates it's first anniversary, created on March 12, 2016
Liberty Chronicle Independent celebrates it's first anniversary, created on March 12, 2016

If you had told me 10 years ago that I would be an Editor of a news aggregator for Third-Parties, Liberty minded candidates/politicians and groups, I'd have told you that you were crazy.  Here we are though, 2017 and celebrating the first anniversary of LCI.  We have published over 80 articles filled with media releases by liberty candidates and interviews with them, from all over the world.

Snapshot of LCI during the the first week of launch
Snapshot of LCI during the the first week of launch
Press access to the action packed election year of 2016 with Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, and even sitting down and talking with Gary Johnson.  I was there for all of those, including the live-streamed breaking coverage of the 2016 Orlando, FL Libertarian National Convention that established us as a global news site across the world, getting viewership live from Germany, Russia and other major countries.

2016 Presidential candidate of Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson being interviewed by Liberty Chronicle Independent Editor in Chief, David Malekar
2016 Presidential candidate of Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson being interviewed by Liberty Chronicle Independent Editor in Chief, David Malekar
We preformed over 30 interviews with Liberty based candidates since LCI's inception and hope to double that, triple, quadruple and so on.  Personally, your Editor in Chief is based out of Seattle, Washington and is able to give locals to the area exclusive video interviews that set them apart in the running of 2016.  Great candidates such as 2016's Public Lands Commissioner runner, Steve McLaughlin and Attorney General candidate Joshua Trumbull, both for Washington state.  Other notable coverage from WA was exclusive Press Access with Milo Yiannopoulos where there was a shooting and I was not allowed to leave the building due to security concerns.  One of the videos from the event can be seen below where antifa protestors clashed with attendees and police.

You can watch all of the coverage here at the following link, including my full coverage of Milo's presentation from the exclusive Press area: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnWa6nC3vPW9bQ-DUuQ8ziO2l6o8Z8c4l

LCI had and still maintains many independent contributors and their articles, such as Ken Buckler (former E.I.C.) with articles that were featured on the front page of the Libertarian Party's website.  Articles by Chaplain Scott Scrimshaw who wrote amazing pieces during the Gary Johnson campaign.  A notable personal favorite of mine is the article about how everyone was (and still is) afraid of Hillary Clinton, from all sides of the political spectrum.  We were able to make impacts with local individuals such as Mike Lapointe who worked day and night towards community development and helping the homeless of Everett, WA and surrounding Greater Seattle area.  The Facebook page of Liberty Chronicle Independent saw major numbers for a starting site with some months hitting half a million combined views between the website, Twitter, and Facebook page.

Liberty Chronicle Independent Facebook page view stats
LCI saw impressive numbers for being new to the news scene during it's inception year

Just a few days ago at the time of this article's release, I was informed that LCI is now being used as a source on Wikipedia, citing the 2014 and hopefully 2018 Libertarian Governor candidate of Maryland, Shawn Quinn.

LCI is being sourced via Wikipedia
LCI is being sourced via Wikipedia, a place in history books forever.
What an incredible year.

So what lies ahead for LCI?  More, much more.  This is only the beginning.  The goal is to have independent contributors from every state, even from around the world.  The mainstream media is dying.  People are rejecting the old two party system.  Currently, Gen Z is growing up with Liberty as the idea of "counter-culture."  This is the future of media and news.  LCI's news ticker grabs information daily from across the world for Libertarian, Green and Constitution Party, New Right and much more liberty minded news.  The expansion of news coverage will only continue.

If you are interested in getting a start into journalism and writing about Liberty, do not hesitate to contact us through the Facebook page.  Who knows?  You could be the next Milo Yiannopoulos or Tomi Lahren of the Independent news media?  Maybe even, just maybe, close the level of Editor of LCI prestige of David Malekar? Chuckling while typing that, you can achieve any level of greatness with effort.  As one of our regulars on LCI, Michelle Darnell would say, "be the change you wish to see."

Trump Protestors on Inauguration Day, I can not Stand with You by David Malekar

Normally, I would completely support protesting Big Government and the Militarized Police State. Sadly, I can not tomorrow.

People are protesting for the wrong reasons, against a guy who isn't putting us in a war with Russia and starting WW3. (link:http://heatst.com/politics/kremlin-clinton-victory-would-have-led-to-world-war-3-between-russia-and-the-us/)

A guy who isn't forcing us to go into a mandatory draft that would have taken both men and women unlike Clinton. (link:http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/hillary-clinton-women-draft-register-224390)

A guy who spoke for a long time about 50 state legalization of Medical Marijuana (link:http://www.cnbc.com/2016/12/19/why-pot-industry-will-keep-growing-under-trump-commentary.html)

A guy who spoke constantly about helping minorities and people within inner-cities (link:http://www.libertychronicle.net/2016/08/donald-trump-holds-rally-in-washington.html)

A guy who wants to help veterans with healthcare and more. (link:https://www.donaldjtrump.com/policies/veterans-affairs-reform)

I could continue this list for hours, but I want to get this piece out tonight rather than next week.

I am closing this with a video of the Seattle Anti-Trump Protest I attended on November 13, 2016, a few days after Trump had been elected by the Electoral College.

LCI Exclusive: Seattle Anti-Trump Protest Rally 11.13.2016

I wanted to give coverage of the protestors to show that they were not violent, that they were just out there to express concern. I was dressed in a black suit and tie, with my press credentials showing clearly I was with the Press and was there to cover the event; I had no political attire or affiliations on or with me. I was the only journalist to cover the event from start to finish, walking with these folks for miles in the rain. I had contracted Walking Pneumonia that I had to fight for over 2 months to recover from. As you can see, I had gone into this giving it everything I have as I always do when covering something, almost 4 hours worth of video coverage. At the very end of the protest, I spoke on a bullhorn to the crowd that had dwindled down from 400+ to about 30 people.

I wish I could say the experience was overall a great one, but it was not. I was attacked from nearly the start by random folks, yelling in my face and attacking me in crowds. I posed no threat and was there to help these people get exposure. I was a man of the Press and I was seen as the enemy. You don't have to just take my word for it, feel free to watch the video. A journalist shouldn't have to defend themselves for covering a live event in a public place. I was doing them a favor by being there and giving them uncut, uncensored coverage. What did I get in return? The Walking Pneumonia for 2 months that I had mentioned and looked down upon like I was subhuman. This Piscataway Native that they claim to stand up for, put me down. I never experienced such bigotry in my life until moving to Seattle.

So I can not stand with you, Protestors; you have made me your enemy without even realizing I was trying to cover you in a positive light. I waited months before finally writing and officially publishing this video in an article because of how disappointed i was at them. We wanted to stand with you, people of the "left;" but you chose to stand against us.

Why does more than Half (64% Approximately) of the United States not vote?

Let's get some basic numbers out of the way.
  • According to Politico, 200 Million people were registered to vote in 2016.
  • The number of voters who actually voted in 2016 were 58% of people registered, according to PBS. (roughly 116 Million voted, based off of Politico's numbers)
  • The total population in the United States of America is over 325 Million according to World Meters.
Grated, these numbers are probably not 100% accurate, but it gives us a general idea that over half (209 Million out of 325 Million, approx 64%) of the population in the United States of America does not vote.

Repeat, 209 Million, or 64% of the population did not vote in the 2016 United States Election.

*Updated Edit: Understandably, not everyone out of the 209 Million can vote due to legal status, age, etc.  Let's just accept that those people still didn't or couldn't vote, thus were not technically able to represent their opinion.

That's a bit hard to swallow, isn't it? 36% of the population voted in America.  Only 36% of Americans made their voice heard.  Now we must ask the question, "why?"

Do you remember the days when politics didn't matter to you?  When life was just a normal, every day routine.  You weren't aware of the laws that were being introduced, what rights were being taken away, not aware of what country was currently being bombed by the Military Industrial Complex.  You were inside of your own bubble and the world seemed huge and out of reach.  Many of us in the Liberty movement still consider ourselves beyond the grasp of it all, despite being a hobby or career to follow what's happening politically.

The numbers don't lie, a majority of people want to be left out of the political debacle.  Life is easier admittedly, not knowing what horrific events have transpired in the world and what corrupt politicians are doing to advance a darker society, tightly ran by lobbyists and the global bankers with their interests in mind.

If you could hit the reset button and go back, would you?  Being aware that those reading this article are among the 34% who likely did vote.  Our viewership is for a specific audience when it comes to the political articles.

Life certainly is much less stressful when politics are put to the side or even ignored altogether.  Life is already a struggle for many; so why make it even harder by worrying and knowing about what is beyond your control at times and even your comprehension of scale?

This is the issue that we face.  We have over 209 Million people who actually could make a difference with their voice if they chose to.  That's 209 Million people that don't exercise their right to vote and change things.  The distractions of Social Media, Video Games, Movies, TV shows, YouTube, and many other things occupy their time.  Not to say any of those things are bad, but they are distractions in the long run in comparison to the energy that could be invested in the future of humanity.  Personally, this Editor does invest a lot of time into Politics due to the fact that so little do.  In time, hopefully that will change as Social Media continues to evolve and inspire Millennials and others to become involved.  We have seen over the last 8 years, how influential Social Media has become in elections across the globe, from Barack Obama being one of the first Presidential candidates to make heavy use of campaigning through online mediums, Bernie Sanders waking up Millennials to Cronyism and the "centipedes" helping get Donald Trump elected in 2016.

Since a record number of people were registered to vote in 2016, perhaps the trend will continue and more and more, we will have a younger generation that will constantly be in-tune to their country and change the dynamic of the political atmosphere that was widely ignored by the generation before.

Why is every Political Party and Independents, Terrified of Clinton and the People around Her? by David Malekar

Never in the history of our country, have we seen a general collaboration of the Republican, Green, Libertarian, and Constitution Parties against the War Machine that is Hillary Clinton.

You can be a supporter of any of these four parties and still unanimously agree that Clinton is a criminal and the Democratic Party is rigging this election.

The fact that all four of these major parties are in complete agreement should scream "WARNING" to those who are even remotely considering voting for Clinton.

I can't comprehend it.

Then again, we can't comprehend it. We don't understand Clinton voters because we have actually read at least one article that shows the amount of war and body trail that Clinton administrations have left behind. The lies that have been told. The fraud that has been committed.

Hillary's voters have not read one article about her that exposes who they are, without dismissing it immediately to being "just bad guys talking about a nice old woman."

I've spoken to Clinton supporters. They are very unaware to what she really is. Look at Clinton's Facebook. It's nothing but stories of a nice old woman that's "fighting for women and kids." This is all they know about Clinton because this is all they see. Their environment is safe from the truth because they don't read online news. They see what's on TV once in a while, painting the Third-Parties as "never having a chance" and "a wasted vote." The only talk about Trump being "racist," a "sexist," this, that, and whatever. These people have a closed world view that everyone other than Hillary is "the bad guy" and we will be destroying the country for women and children.

This is crunch time. This is the final showdown. The Globalist Bankers want to usher in Clinton to allow them to continue to rob the American people of their money and rights in broad daylight. You have to be gentle as they already view you as "the enemy." While frustrating, be patient with a Clinton supporter and explain that they should take a look at why every political party in America is terrified of a Clinton Presidency. Ask them to just think about that. When Jill Stein and Donald Trump are agreeing that Clinton is a threat to all of our safety and the world, maybe it will be enough for the idea to hit them to look at all the things that are being said.

We can't afford another 4 to 8 years of what has felt like one giant Presidential term since Bill Clinton. War since him through Bush to Obama. Poverty and recession. Big banks getting bailed out and avoiding criminal justice. American citizens being killed by the militarized police state and the massive incarceration by the prison industrial complex. We can't as a nation afford this.

Please, Clinton voters. We are asking that you simply ask the simple question, "Why is every political party and independents, terrified of Clinton and the people around her?" If she's truly the nice woman that wants to take care of women and children, why are we so scared of this? Just, please, think about it. Then start reading the articles we are sharing, listen to the things we are saying. All we ask is that you look and see what we are talking about and why we do.
